Creating Your First Virtual Try-On
Introduction
Virtual try-on is the flagship feature of huhu.ai. It allows you to place any garment onto a model photo so customers can visualise how clothing will look before buying. This tutorial walks you through creating your very first try-on from scratch.
By the end of this guide you will have a production-quality try-on image ready to embed on your product page or share with your team.
Choosing a Garment Image
Start by uploading a clear, well-lit photo of the garment. Front-facing flat-lay or mannequin shots work best. The image should be at least 1024 x 1024 pixels and in JPEG or PNG format. Avoid heavy watermarks or busy backgrounds as they can reduce output quality.
If you have multiple colourways of the same garment, upload each as a separate image so the AI can render accurate colours for every variant.
Selecting a Model
huhu.ai offers a library of diverse AI-generated models, or you can upload your own model photos. Choose a model that matches your target audience in terms of body type and pose. The platform supports male, female, and non-binary model options.
For consistent branding across your catalogue, save your preferred model settings as a preset that can be reused across all future try-ons.
Generating the Result
With the garment and model selected, click Generate. The AI typically produces a result in 3-5 seconds. You can adjust fit, draping, and lighting in the refinement panel and regenerate until the output matches your expectations.
Use the side-by-side comparison view to evaluate different settings quickly without navigating away from the editor.
Saving and Sharing
Once you are happy with the result, download it in your preferred resolution (up to 4K). You can also generate an embed code to drop directly into your Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom storefront. Share links allow team members and stakeholders to view the result without needing a huhu.ai account.
